The Clinical Information Systems Team is searching for a talented and driven Business Analyst Senior a true strategic thinker and subject matter expert to spearhead the optimized design implementation training and ongoing use of cuttingedge Health IT/IS systems. As the Business Analyst Senior Epic Trainer you will:
Drive Epic Optimization and Education: Develops and maintains expertise in Epic systems workflows and data analytics and uses this knowledge to design integrated systems provide training and promote data validity and security.
Lead System Implementation and Problem Resolution: Manages Epic project lifecycles including requirements gathering testing and implementation and proactively identifies and resolves systemrelated workflow problems and risks.
Lead and Manages Epic Projects: Executes projects of varying scale utilizing project management principles and tools and effectively coordinates with stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful implementation.
Translate Business Needs into Technical Requirements: Gathers and translates business project requests into clear detailed technical specifications including use cases and diagrams to facilitate Epic system development and implementation.
Acquire Deep Business Process Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of Health Department business practices including clinical and financial operations and how clinical systems support them.
Master Clinical System Functionality: Gain comprehensive knowledge of clinical system applications tools connectivity and hardware and pursue ongoing skills development as needed.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Bachelors degree in healthcare administration business management or related field. (In lieu of a degree we will consider relevant education and experience)
Three 3 to six 6 years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA): Advanced knowledge of patient care clinical processes charting and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications/ Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/ transferable skills to qualify. However keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills.
Three 3 years of increasingly responsible experience using Epic Systems software in a clinical or operational setting. Professional level evaluative analytical or planning experience is also desirable.
Working knowledge of implementation and support of Epic Systems Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Practice Management software systems or experience implementing new functionality in an existing EHR or Practice Management application database.
Working knowledge of Epic Cogito Tools.
Basic knowledge of patient care clinical processes and workflows
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees management external contacts other agencies and the general public including those from diverse backgrounds
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a clinical or EHR setting
Collaborate with clinic leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in clinic operations clinical practice support and improved health outcomes
Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities and to demonstrate close attention to details
Assume project team responsibilities or subprojects as assigned
Advanced written and oral communication skills including the ability to speak in front of groups and to communicate in writing policies procedures memoranda and training materials. Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure is essential

Inclement Weather and Disasters Serving the Public Even During Disasters:
Everyday Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather natural disaster or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses while typically there begins with a call for volunteers county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities.
