The University of Nevada Las Vegas invites applications for Associate/Journey IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle Information Technology (HYBRID AVAILABLE) R0147102.
ROLE of the POSITION
Associate IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle
The Computer Lifecycle Service team is responsible for coordinating designing and configuring OITdeployed computers across campus. The Associate IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle coordinates the setup and deployment of new hardware for customers. The Associate IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle works closely with the Lifecycle Supervisor to ensure methods schedules and procedures meet customer needs.
The Associate IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle images and deploys new computers and related peripherals complies with software licensing and migrates customer data during transitions to new hardware. The Associate IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle also determines if used hardware is at the end of its lifecycle and should be surplused or reallocated according to established procedures.
A strong commitment to customer service is essential. The Associate IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle interacts with faculty and staff to ensure appropriate services are delivered at the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Journey IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle
The IT Support Specialist Computer Lifecycle at the university is a technical position responsible for comprehensive management of computer deployment and support services. This professional independently prepares and deploys computing equipment creates system images and implements security measures while maintaining accurate inventory records. They demonstrate advanced skills in software management creating deployment packages and scripts for specialized applications while ensuring license compliance. The position requires strong troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues document solutions and maintain technical guidelines. The technician serves as a consultant creating hardware quotes advising on specialized computing requirements and coordinating with vendors during technology refresh cycles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires an earned Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) along with the following:

A minimum of one 1 year of professional experience with computer setup imaging and deployment. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
Preferred
Experience working in a higher education environment is preferred.
CompTIA A Certification or equivalent industrystandard certification is preferred.

Associate: 70400 to 72500
Journey: 76100 to 80700
