Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Junior Research Analyst Germany supports research data & analytics and reporting activities across the German market. This junior role is designed to assist with the organic growth of the German businesses by thought leadership and insight outputs to help generate leads and business opportunities.

The role will report to the Head of Research Germany working within established frameworks to ensure consistency of client experience processes and operational excellence across the EMEA region. The role will also collaborate with colleagues from local business services departments as well as other central functions mainly Marketing and Data &Analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with real estate data collection and contribute to the update of existing databases (office industrial retail residential hotel investment etc. to support regular market and economic updates.
  • Cooperate with other business services teams to gather and organize local and regional market insights including competitive client and industry data.
  • Provide support for business development activities including preparing materials for market updates to clients.
  • Conduct market analyses for adhoc reports for clients as defined by the business and senior team members.
  • Assist with marketing and communication activities in line with the company content strategy defined by the Head of Business Development Services Germany.
  • Begin contributing to C&W brand visibility through participation in public events and social media with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support cooperation efforts with C&W research teams in other countries and the wider EMEA team.

  • Interests:
    • Curiosity and interest in real estate urban development economic interrelations and data
  • Analytical skills:
    • Fundamental data collection and market research skills
    • Ability to organize data identify trends and visualize results
    • Attention to detail and capability to verify information under guidance
  • Communications skills:
    • Good knowledge of both German and English languages required (written and verbal)
    • Ability to present data in clear formats through reports presentations and basic data visualizations with guidance
  • Problem solving:
    • Working effectively within a team structure and learning to collaborate crossfunctionally with internal teams in a deadlinedriven environment
    • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems creatively
    • Interest in learning about key real estate metrics
  • Tools used:
    • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint OneDrive SharePoint) with advanced skills in Excel (enthusiasm for working with Excel and data manipulation is highly desirable)
    • Interest in learning: MS Power BI Power Query GIS software (ArcGIS QGIS)
  • Entrylevel experience or internship in professional services or the real estate sector preferred
  • Degree in Economics Geography Real Estate related fields or other fields with a focus on quantitative research preferred.
