The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon responsible for defining customer needs functional and product architecture requirements definition and decomposition Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) system performance and System Security Engineering (SSE).

We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the MultiFunction Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) Systems Engineering team in McKinney TX. The MFRFS program is primarily an Army funded program specializing in the creation of compact stationary and onthemove groundbased radars with search and track capabilities of a variety of ground and airborne targets. These technologies are paramount for earlywarning systems missile defense and offensive countermeasures that help keep the warfighter safe. In particular this job assignment will be with the algorithms development / modes team on the MFRFS program.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be a member of a highly visible team of engineers supporting systems engineering algorithms development and test data analysis expertise for the radar systems program. The Senior Systems Engineer will regularly interface with the Software team to ensure that proper design algorithms are implemented properly.

What You Will Do:

  • Developing complex radar processing modes

  • Radar data analysis and modeling

  • Developing MonteCarlo based radar simulations as well as realtime Hardware in the Loop simulations

  • Creating automated regression tests and scripts

  • Interfacing with the Software team to ensure algorithms developed are implemented properly

  • Properly document progress made in terms of simulation enhancements

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline

  • Experience in C C programming and using MATLAB

  • Experience developing signal processing models

  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Masters degree in Engineering

  • Radar signal processing and digital signal processing

  • Kalman Tracking neural networks radar performance tracking and other advanced signal processing concepts

  • Configuration control / management

  • Interacting with other groups on a large program and with customers

  • Creating automated regression and testing scripts

  • Simulation validation and verification

  • Working in a fastpaced teamoriented environment

  • Selfmotivated proactive problemsolver with good technical and written communication skills
