Who were looking for
We are looking for a Valuation Specialist to join the Schroders Capital Private Equity Fund Operations team. The Valuation Specialist will be an integral part in executing the monthly and quarterly valuation processes for our semiliquid product offerings across a broad array of private market strategies. You will be instrumental in supporting the development of the valuation function for our joint venture with Phoenix AM: Future Growth Capital.
The position will offer a fastpaced and intellectually challenging work environment that offers accelerated exposure to private markets and increasing responsibility.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge within the private market space.

The team
Schroders Capital is the private markets investment division of Schroders Group. With $65bn AUM and 498 employees we cover a broad range of asset classes out of 19 offices globally. We provide investors with access to a broad range of private equity investment opportunities across buyout and growth investments as well as for venture capital with a focus on what we consider the most attractive parts of the global private equity market.
What youll do
- Contribute to the development of the valuation function dedicated for the monthly valuations of Future Growth Capitals private market strategies
- Monitor and perform valuations of our direct and coinvestments primary and secondary fund investments across a broad array of private market strategies
- Collaborate with external valuation providers for our direct realestate and infrastructure debt instruments
- Produce concise informative valuation reports for a variety of recipients (such as boards audit committees and investor communication)
- Interact closely with internal and external parties in particular investment managers general partners pricing committees third party valuation firms and auditors
- Contribute to the development of portfolio monitoring and valuation tools
- Support special projects within your area of responsibility
The knowledge experience and qualifications you need
- 5 years of experience in the financial industry within the area of valuation or deal advisory
- A selfdirected individual with experience in executing valuation processes under timesensitive deadlines
- Strong familiarity with the principles and methodologies used in illiquid assets valuation
- Proficiency in using MS Office Capital IQ with knowledge of programming languages (python VBA) and analytics tools (MS Power Apps suite)
- Degree in a relevant discipline such as business finance or accounting (CFA charter holder or working towards a similar designation would be considered a plus)
