Biostatistician

Bestica is seeking a Biostatistician to provide future services at Wright Patterson Air Force Base OH Onsite.

Description of Services:

The employee shall provide biostatistician support for the 711 Human Performance Wing 711 HPW) Human Effectiveness Directorate Air and Space Biosciences Division Product Development Branch Womens Health and Performance (RHBAW). The employee shall provide research services clinical and basic science research coordination biostatistician support services and assistance in areas required to meet the stated objectives to accomplish the work required for the 711 HPW/RH overall organizational research requirements. employee personnel shall interface with personnel and subject matter experts from across the 711th Human Performance Wing and their research partners to include geographically separate units as required to support the research and provide consultative data analytic support.

Work Schedule: Work schedule is normally MF; however there may be times when it is necessary for the employee to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks. The schedule may have to be flexible.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• The employee shall possess at minimum a masters level degree in statistics or biostatistics and at least 5 years experience in combining cleaning and analyzing large multivariate datasets.
• The employee shall possess expertise in statistical modeling statistical modeling plans experimental design data analysis and management.
• The employee shall have knowledge and experience with common statistical methods such as survival analysis parametric and nonparametric methods multiple and logistic regressions structural equation modeling hierarchical linear modeling psychometric methods as well as experience applying them to realworld situations.
• The employee shall possess expertise in statistical analysis software such as SPSS SAS AMOS R Access SQL Server and/or STATA.
• The employee shall import clean merge manage transform validate and/or analyze large multivariate datasets.
• The employee shall possess technical writing and presentation skills including the ability to provide interpretation of results.
• The employee shall have experience with MS Windows MS Access MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS Publisher and Adobe Acrobat.
• The employee shall be professional detail oriented possess excellent communication skills and speak fluent English. The employee shall have the ability to thrive in a team environment yet be able to complete assigned tasks independently or with minimal guidance.
• The employee shall have the ability to achieve set goals the initiative in performing assigned tasks the ability to followup complex projects with influence and integrity and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel in and outside of the organization.
• The employee shall have a signed NonDisclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential proprietary and/or sensitive information. NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by start of performance.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• Prior military experience or previous experience working in a military environment.
• Knowledge in electronic health records.
• Training in human subjects protections regulatory affairs and data collection.
