Speech Language Pathologist

Coverage Area: Whatcom County

Compensation: $45$53 Hourly pay from first to last patient. Hourly pay for documentation.

Type: PRN

Shift: Day Shift

Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Medical Speech Language Pathologist to help with vacation or sick coverage.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SpeechLanguage Pathologist is responsible for implementation of standards of care for speech language pathology services and for adherence to all conditions in the Service Agreement.

  • Conducts appropriate evaluations assesses home environment (as appropriate) and identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
  • Assumes responsibility for the ongoing interdisciplinary assessment and development of the individualized plan of care in partnership with the patient representative (if any) and caregiver(s).
  • Provides services that are ordered by the physician as indicated in the plan of care.
  • Provides patient caregiver and family counseling.
  • Provides patient and caregiver education.
  • Prepares clinical notes.
  • Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech language pathology services.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities)

  • Must have a masters or doctoral degree in speechlanguage pathology and be licensed in the Washington State.
  • A minimum of one years clinical experience in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
  • The ability to drive and/or have access to transportation for agency related travel (e.g. community partners patients etc. is an essential function of the job. Must have and maintain a valid drivers license maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.
