Job Description:

We are seeking a Buyer to manage offload purchasing of wire optical mech labels mech COTS and GSE from three Buyers on the team. There has been an extensive surge for TRex purchasing combined with additional processes since the SAP transition multiple members of the team are at capacity. Bringing on another Buyer will help offload three Buyers allowing them to have more bandwidth to manage their OTD convert PRs to POs quicker manage lead time updates and budgetary quote requests etc.

They will also have more bandwidth to work and get ahead of supplier setup and maintenance work on increasing our supplier base and research possible LTAs.

Required Skill Sets:

• Excellent MS Excel skills must have experience in Excel creating tables formulas and organizing data into a presentable format.
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written selfmotivated and be able to drive a process from start to finish.
• Excellent interpersonal skills analytical verbal organizational skills ability to balance short term priorities and exceptional informational analysis.
• Excellent scheduling and time management skills.
• Exhibits a high level to attention to detail.
• Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in a fastpaced environment.

Desired Skill Sets:

• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
• SAP/PRISM experience preferred
• Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is preferred but not required.

Education Level and Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in Business Economics or related field preferred with 2 years of experience

Main functions of role:

• Support and coordinate the purchasing activities in procuring materials and services.
• Complete purchase order packages to meet company and government requirements. Negotiate Terms and Conditions NDAs with vendors and work with legal on proposed changes.
• Support negotiations with suppliers for assigned commodities to achieve the best price quality and schedule. Analyze and interpret detailed information; make sound and accurate judgment based on this information and previous knowledge.
• Maintains liaison with suppliers and internal organizations to prevent program delays.
• Set and maintain accurate part lead times in the system and hold suppliers accountable to their commitments and to meet performance expectations.
• Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance to quality standards.
• Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering Quality Production Planning and Accounting to met business needs.
• Provide purchasing and expediting support to the company for critical material shortage. Review open orders for critical parts on a regular basis to avoid last minute expedite.
• Manage supplier setup and recertification process.

How willthe contractors success be measured

• The support will be needed through multiple waves of data extractions from the different Business Unit Systems. This will align with the project schedule. Success is measured by meeting the goals of completion of the required file reviews and updates by the project deadlines.

• A collaborative team environment as well as individual contributor. Effort involves collaboration with various SMEs and project team members; however the data review and supplier support can be independent. Contractor will also work closely with the Vendor Master Manager/workstream lead on this project.
