Job Description
Truck Driver
Our team inElmendorfcurrently has an opening for a DOT Driver
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving daily Hazmat Tanker LTL or Bulk loads in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
- Loading and/or unloading of bulk drummed totes or bagged material.
- Handling securement delivery and pick up of gas cylinders.
- Liquid transfers (hazardous and nonhazardous) of material from containers or bulk tanker utilizing electric or PTO driven system.
- Use of drum dollies to move full drums on truck and to customer.
- Ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.
- Follow all operating procedures and work instructions.
- Reports all nonconformances as they occur using proper forms.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and follow all rules and regulations.
- Completes all training as required in the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program.
- Properly use materials such as labels placards stenciling and paint.
- Properly cares for and uses all equipment such as forklifts drum handling equipment pumps hoses etc.
- Secure dual sign off before transferring any product from one vessel to another.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 3 years commercial Class A CDL driving experience in an industrial/chemical environment.
- Experience with box vans and tankers required.
- Current Class A CDL wit Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements clean motor vehicle record ability to meet DOT requirements.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical evaluation and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to repeatedly bend; lift push pull and or move up to 100 pounds; proper lifting techniques required.
- Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Comfortable with the use of a Forklift and general warehouse duties.
- Knowledge of DOT load securement regulations.
- Employment is contingent upon completion of background investigation EVerify check and preemployment drug screening.
