ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Tax SemiSenior to join our growing Tax Department here at Anchin. This role will specialize in serving clients in the Consumer Products and Private Client Services groups. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax compliance and planning with the ability to manage multiple projects communicate effectively and provide exceptional service to both business and highnetworth individual clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare federal state and local tax returns for entities within the consumer products industry including partnerships corporations and S corporations.
- Prepare tax returns for highnetworth individuals trusts and estates under the Private Client Services practice.
- Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering proactive solutions to clients.
- Conduct tax research and prepare memoranda on complex tax issues.
- Support seniors and managers on engagements and assist with client communications and deliverables.
- Maintain compliance with firm policies and professional standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Develop relationships with clients and become a trusted advisor over time.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff including reviewing work and offering constructive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- CPA in progress is a plus.
Experience:
- 2 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with tax preparation and research software (e.g. CCH Axcess).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Team player with a proactive and clientservice mindset.
Compensation:
- Competitive compensation in the range of $77000 to $90000 based on the individuals experience level.
