An opportunity exists qualified Cold Larder Cooks to join our well established and highly reputable Catering Department at Newcastle Private Hospital on a casual basis.
Your work as a Cook will contribute to our patients experience with us; providing exceptional meals during their stay.
We offer a supportive atmosphere work life balance and no late nights!
The successful applicants will be available for a variety of shifts across a 7day week and have prior experience in healthcare or aged care food services or in a highvolume hotel environment

Come and join our expert team of surgeons specialist doctors dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private are an 11 Theatre 189 bed acute private hospital facility colocated on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park.
Newcastle Private provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of treatment and care across our Sameday and inpatient stay facilities.
As a Cook your responsibilities will include:
Food preparation
Cooking patient meals
Preparing meals for patients with dietary restrictions allergens & texture modified
Ordering of food supplies
Supervise staff in the kitchen
Deliver excellent customer service to staff clients and patients
Food Safety knowledge
Selection Criteria:
Qualification as a Chef from a recognised training provider
Prior work in a Hospital Aged Care or Healthcare environment
Certificate in Safe Food Handling
Available for weekday & weekend work
Good communication and time management skills
Attention to detail & reliable
Works well independently and within a team
