You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers handson experience in mechanical design product development from prototyping through production support including engineering analysis in a collaborative and fastpaced environment. Youll work closely with experienced engineers and scientists to design fabricate and validate components for cuttingedge analytical instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with mechanical electrical and research scientists to design prototype and test precision components and assemblies.
Design mechanical subsystems using Siemens NX applying DFM/DFA principles
Perform basic engineering calculations use computer modeling software (Ansys Workbench)
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (manufacturing quality and R&D) to support project development
Participate in product validation test setup and data analysis
Assist in maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with engineering standards
Contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives
Assist in maintaining and improving equipment uptime through preventative maintenance practices.
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree Junior or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Strong interest in mechanical design manufacturing or product development
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks Creo or NX) NX preferred
Basic understanding of materials thermodynamics and mechanical systems
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Eagerness to adapt and selfeducate in a dynamic work environment
Note:
Expected graduation date: 2026 or later
Availability to work 1620 hours/week during the academic year or fulltime during summer
The intern pay rate for this position is $25.00 $30/hour plus eligibility for paid holidays and medical benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training. During the hiring process a recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for a preferred location.
