Job Description
Who We Are Looking For:
Are you the Life Skills Teacher we have been looking for In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students!
Pelham Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed provides 24hour comprehensive care including a school on site a full clinical staff nursing staff and direct care staff.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
- YOUwill be able to manage your own classroom while developing enriching lesson planning around life skills and physical education to provide the best support and academics for our students!
- YOU willbe able to create a safe and therapeuticcommunitybysupporting students in developingandbyrole modelingeffective copingstrategies.
- YOU will helpstudentsdiscover what makes them feel competent and valuedby working with themto develop life skills suchas cooking banking vocational skills and studentsindeveloping a sense of selfandprovide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Bachelors degree in Education or related required.
- Great opportunity if you are looking to start your teaching career!
- Maintains valid drivers license as transporting students is required.
- Available to work evenings holidays weekend shifts as required.
- At JRI you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal deescalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
