Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Division Director of Quality Improvement & Risk Management
Reviews and analyzes all use of force incidents within the agencys automated UOF and other systems for compliance with agency policies and documentation standards.
Investigate and document deficiencies or inconsistencies identified through review of incident reports management information notes photographs videos or associated documentation including followup interviews with staff and inmates as required.
Provides clear wellwritten reports detailing incident analysis findings and recommendations.
Identifies trends and patterns develops reports highlighting best practices and opportunities for improvement.
Meets with and offers actionable feedback to institutional and agency leadership to support the agencys continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma and relevant work experience. A bachelors degree may be substituted for the required work experience.SCDC Minimum Requirements:(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
- A bachelors degree and one 1 years of experience in quality improvement risk management compliance auditing audits or compliance reviews in corrections or law enforcement setting law enforcement investigations or related analytical work experience;
OR- An associate degree and three 3 of experience in quality improvement risk management compliance auditing audits or compliance reviews in corrections or law enforcement setting law enforcement investigations or related analytical work experience;
OR- A high school diploma and five 5 of experience in quality improvement risk management compliance auditing audits or compliance reviews in corrections or law enforcement setting law enforcement investigations or related analytical work experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications exceptional writing and oral presentation skills exception data analysis skills experience conducting useofforce reviews conducting data analysis trend identification and preparing details analytical reports and previous correctional or law enforcement experience strongly preferred.
