Education Training Instructor

Maintains current credentials and ongoing trainer development

• Successfully presents key model components and maintains Boys Towns Training of Trainers and/or Authorization courses prior to delivering training.

• Participates in professional development and program evaluation activities including but not limited to direct observations.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to attend professional development to obtain authorization in additional workshop(s).

• Ability to conduct training with adult learners.

• Ability to comfortably utilize a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.

• Ability to model and evaluate Boys Town Model Interactions.

• Ability to incorporate examples of experience implementing the Boys Town Model during training.

• Ability to conduct or cotrain a minimum of two days per quarter every year to maintain eligibility.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex material translated into useable form to educate and improve participants skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people.

• Strong planning and organizational skills.

• Culturally competent to work with very diverse groups of participants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Education Social Work Human Services Psychology or related field required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience implementing the Boys Town Model required.

• Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends required.

• Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods of time required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS EQUIPMENT USAGE WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop monitor keyboard and a general workstation setup.
