Job Description
For youth ages 1424 enrolled in the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM 2:00 PM Monday through Friday June 23 August 1 2025
End Goal: Student collaboration and performance in our culminating summer showcase Diannes Recital
The Band Instructor will guide students through the fundamentals of wind and brass instruments focusing on technique tone production reading music and ensemble performance. The instructor will help students build confidence discipline and teamwork in preparation for a highenergy final performance at Diannes Recital.
Requirements
- Proficiency in wind/brass instruments
- Prior teaching or mentorship experience
- Ability to prepare youth for live performance
