Our Taneytown MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150000 square feet and provides capability for engineering design customer service machining assembly and testing for a diverse product portfolio which serves all markets (power oil & gas water resources general industry and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.
Role Summary:
The Precision Assembler will be responsible for the preparation of assembly work and documentation. This position will also assemble pumps utilizing a variety of tools and test equipment. This person will have access to tools at our facility to accomplish these expectations to ensure the delivery of a highquality product to our customers.
2nd Shift: MondayThursday 3:30pm 2:00 am
Responsibilities:
Complete assemblies according to drawings instructions and work orders performing testing when required.
Demonstrates an advanced understanding of inspection equipment their functions and uses to ensure that all parts and assemblies are within specifications.
Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly following all assembly procedures.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal safety equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly.
Have a sharp eye for detail and a resultsoriented approach.
Capable of calculating basic mathematical functions including computation of rate ratio and percent and to convert one type of measurement into another.
Participate in CIP activities as needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and technical drawings safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly to peers supervisors and customers
Show a customerservice mindset for ontime delivery and quality workmanship.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
Demonstrate behavior that promotes team building and continuous improvement.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate jib and overhead cranes
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines mechanical devices or as a general mechanic is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
High School Diploma or GED is required
The pay range for this position is 19.34 28.98 USD Hourly
