Job Description
Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Senior Accountantposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

Under general supervision leads plans schedules and oversees the work of staff performing a wide variety of accounting and fiscal duties while performing the same and/or more difficult duties as those being led. Ensures completion of tasks in accordance with established policies procedures communicates policies procedures and job expectations. Provides training to accounting and clerical staff within Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer).
Minimum Qualifications:
Either: 1. A bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy.AND
Two years of fulltime paid experience employed by the Sacramento Area Sewer District in the class of Accountant or Auditor.
Or: 2.A bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy.AND
Two years of fulltime paid professional public management and/or government accounting/auditing experience performing a wide variety of accounting auditing budgeting and/or fiscal duties such as establishing and maintaining accounting records participating in budget preparation and control reviewing and analyzing accounting and financial transaction records and preparing financial statements and reports.
Note: Possession of a valid license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of California Board of Accountancy may substitute for the required bachelors degree.
