Position Summary
The person in this position would work with internal and external customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products orders and services as well as resolve complaints. Excellent communication abilities are a must. The target is to ensure excellent service standards respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction while entering orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Job Functions:
- Works with internal and external customers to provide service to highprofile customers.
- Responds promptly to customer inquiries while providing professional customer support.
- Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions.
- Processes parts orders and parts returns requested by internal and external customers.
- Works with scheduling team to ensure all hot requests are prioritized and managed accordingly.
- Must be able to be efficient and accurate when processing orders.
- Works with other teams to trouble order issues.
- Maintains a positive empathetic and professional attitude toward customers always.
- Communicates and coordinates with colleagues as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Training and/or Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience with a manufacturing or distribution company in a materials environment.
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience.
- Inventory or production control experience preferred.
- Some background in an MRP/ERP system.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Intermediate Excel experience preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service type/related role.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Work Conditions:
The work conditions are representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
