Position Description: The Copy Editor will work with a team of writers to ensure all content adheres to the OC guidelines. We are looking for a creative Copywriter to write clear and concise copy for ads publications and websites. Your words will inform and engage target audiences.
Primary Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in marketing English journalism or related field
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues across racial gender and cultural barriers.
- Successful candidate must be an active member of a local Church.
Responsibilities and Skills: - Ensure that content adheres to the inhouse style guide
- Social Media Copywriter responsibilities include updating our social media pages responding to followers and tracking user engagement.
- Stay abreast of the latest media trends and content best practices
- Collaborate with team to come up with fresh and creative ideas keeping the audience in mind
- Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
- Must be highly organized since they will manage several projects at a time.
- Copy Editors responsibilities include proofreading editing and working with writers to deliver quality content.
- Writing clear compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. ads blog posts newsletters)
- Conducting thorough research and interviews
- Working with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns that are accurate and free of grammatical errors.
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Copywriter or similar role
- Handson experience using various social media platforms to advertise
- Solid knowledge of SEO keyword research and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with online paid advertising
- Ability to deliver creative web content (text image and video)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Proficient in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detailoriented
- Leadership and time management skills
- Great customer service skills with Oklahoma Christian University faculty and staff new and current students and parents of new and current students.
- Must be flexible when working on multiple projects at the same time.
- A positive Christcentered attitude is also required.
