We are currently seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team in the Tulsa OK area! What You Will Do
As the Director of Accounting you are responsible for collaboratively directing with the Senior Director of Accounting regarding the accounting functions of the organization in accordance and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board; and other state and federal regulatory agencies oversight requirements. The Director of Accounting will support the Senior Director of Accounting in preparing accurate reporting of the financial position of the organization for the Board of Directors through the Finance and Audit Committees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting strategic direction for the Accounting Department with the Senior Director of Accounting.
- Developing implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
- Planning budgeting and supervising monthly budgets.
- Preparing financial statements journal entries and cash flow statements ensuring timely and accurate monthend close.
- Planning organizing and coordinating monthly and yearround processes with internal staff and external financial auditors and program auditors.
- Ensuring accurate and timely revenue maximization and control accurate and timely billing budgeting expense management and risk management.
- Proactive quick learner with a positive attitude who is willing and able to take direction and move to implementation with a great deal of autonomy accuracy and timeliness expected.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced complex and busy environment with excellent people skills and the ability to work with others to achieve team results.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelors degree in accounting with 35 years of experience and proven continuously progressive leadership and expertise.
- MACC or MBA degree & grant experience are preferred.
- Expertise in accounting (including fund accounting) financial planning and control purchasing contracting budgeting general administration and management.
- Expertise in Federal and State contracting accounting standards and adherence.
- Extremely adept at accounting software use and management.
- Expert user of MS Excel with 8090 proficiency.
