Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as Licensed Behavorial Health Therapist.
Position Status: Flexi/PRN Rotating Shift
Position Location: Onsite in Virginia Beach VA
Standard Working Hours: Must be flexible to work between the hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM or 4:00pm to 8:00PM. Must be able to work a few shifts per week or every other week.
Overview
The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual group and/or family therapy; provides staff consultation/supervision and education. Responsible for the provision of social work/counseling services to patients receiving care in the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health setting. Assesses the social psychological cultural environmental and financial situation as well as disposition needs for each assigned patient. Collaborates with patients families healthcare team members and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs. Evaluates effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.
Education
Masters Level Degree
Certification/Licensure
Currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Required
Experience
Related experience is preferred but not required
