Introduction



Anglers may try their luck along the banks of the Indian River Inlet or on the ocean beaches and head boats and charter boats launch out of the fullservice Indian River Marina offering wet slips fuel docks boat storage supplies and more.

Summary Statement

A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Indian River Marina:

IRM Maintenance I/Custodial/Grounds $15.00 having the ability to safely operate small tools and equipment with min supervision ability to paint. Maintaining the park grounds and its facilities and perform general maintenance duties. Performs custodial services in restrooms offices and other buildings such as mopping dusting and vacuuming.

Boat Yard Attendant $15.00 assists the fulltime boat yard staff with mooring vessels power washing boats and flushing boat engines.

Ramp Attendant $15.00 responsibilities include but are not limited to customer service facility clean up grounds keeping and other assigned duties.

Marina Dock Hand $15.00 assist boaters entering and exiting their slips direct transient boaters to the office remind boaters of rules and regulations and assist staff as needed.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors weekends evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs and must be willing to work around boats and water.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.

May performs vehicle and foot patrol of assigned area.
May collect appropriate fees for fuel sales.
May perform custodial services for the dock.
Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
Must be able to demonstrate responsibility dependability and good communication skills.
Must be able to work independently.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

IRM Maintenance I/Custodial/Grounds:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools.
3. Possession of a valid drivers license (not suspended revoked or cancelled or disqualified from driving.

Boat Yard Attendant:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Possession of a stateissued boater education card of NASBLAapproved boating safety course certificate.
3. Experience operating a boat.

Marina Ramp Attendant:
1. At least 18 years of age.
2. Knowledge of customer service.

Marina Dock Hand:
1. At least 16 years of age.
2. Knowledge of customer service.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a nonpension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
