Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef on behalf of one of our esteemed clients a luxury hotel based in Hoedspruit. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional who thrives in a refined kitchen environment and is ready to support the Head Chef in delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations and food preparation
Maintain high standards of food quality consistency and presentation
Supervise and support the kitchen team ensuring smooth daily operations
Assist with the design and development of innovative and seasonal menus
Ensure hygiene health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
Manage stock levels ordering and inventory control
Contribute to staff training and development initiatives
Support in the planning and of special events or functions
Minimum Requirements:
Recognised culinary qualification or equivalent
Minimum 3 5 years experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or lodge environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Solid understanding of kitchen operations and HACCP practices
Passion for food creativity and a meticulous eye for detail
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive teamoriented attitude
