Junior Functional Analyst

In a nutshell:

The programme you will be involved in consists of two internally developed web applications and a range of additional services (reporting services data services business intelligence services) to support our internal customers the global Eurofins network of laboratories in their daytoday sales and analytical services activities for their customers.

The programme is core to Eurofins strategy by enabling efficient crossselling between laboratories. Components of the programme and its data are used by a wide range of Eurofins applications making it a key programme within the international Eurofins network.

Responsibilities:

Your main objective is to define the functional specifications in close cooperation with the business analysts and the scrum teams. You will analyse the system in an Agile way focusing on functional software needs and translate complex requirements into User Stories that the scrum team can work on.

As a Functional Analyst you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating using Agile principles with business analysts and architects on functional analysis solution design implementation plans gap and data analysis;
• Writing clear and wellstructured specifications (user stories) for bugs and new functionalities including detailed acceptance criteria;
• Following up on user stories end to end in the scrum team you are involved in including: user story priority management preparing and leading various scrum meetings assisting developers and QA team members during the user story implementation phase;
• Closely interacting with QA team members during acceptance criteria refinement meetings test case reviews & sprint demo meetings;
• Assisting Business Analysts with UML modelling and service contract creation and review;
• Providing assistance to the third line support of the application;
• Managing bug reports;
• Assisting with the qualification of releases in close cooperation with the programmes release management team and key stakeholders;
• Managing documentation and ensuring high quality: release notes second line support release presentations online help etc;
• Reporting including on delays and implementation risks.

Qualifications :

Skills: We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates strong communication a detailoriented approach commitment an analytical and problemsolving mindset curiosity and who can produce clear documentation build relationships selfmanage and continuously improve.

Education: Engineering degree Masters in Science or Bachelors with relevant experience. Software implementation knowledge is a plus.

Languages: Fluent English is mandatory; other European languages are advantageous.

Experience: Initial experience in software development (functional analyst business analyst or project manager). International exposure is beneficial.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Scrum ServiceOriented Architecture UML development tools (e.g. Jira Azure DevOps) user story/UI mockup development and SQL is valued.
