Position Summary
This position is in the Pediatric Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) an outpatient research unit located at St. Louis Childrens Hospital. This is primarily a weekday and daytime position.
Position performs duties associated with the coordination and implementation of research studies/projects including direct patient care data collection and management of data generated by study protocols. Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care and human subject protection with a commitment to research integrity.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works under the Principal Investigators (PI) guidance to meet the research objectives of the project.
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with protocol and patient safety such as: assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patients; IV placement; port access; infusion monitoring; injections; phlebotomy ECG and vital signs.
- Administers and/or provides oversight of administration of medications study or study interventions as appropriate. Administers investigational products in approved setting.
- Obtains handles processes and ships research specimens according to protocol.
- Collects health information including monitoring for and reporting of adverse events.
- Performs data collection source documentation and data entry.
- Works with research team to identify screen and enroll study subjects; coordinates study procedures; and maintains continuity of care human subject protection and research integrity.
- Collaborates with sponsors research associates during monitoring activities by providing study documentation data clarifications and reports as necessary.
- Performs other duties incidental to the work described above.

Salary Range
$56200.00 $96100.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
