Job Summary
Project Manager ensures the timely safe and cost effective management of departmental projects. Project manage contractors employees vendors third parties and other internal departments to achieve stated goals. Additionally the candidate must be competent at the full scope of project management duties associated with the departmental goals. Successful candidates must be able to manage in a team environment working within the organization and cross departmentally. This position will continually reevaluate and improve processes in order to increase efficiency.
Oversees and actively participates in thirdparty backhaul activities including quoting ordering and tracking service delivery.
Manages billing disputes and contractual SLA violations and pursues associated credits.
Assists with monthly thirdparty invoicing and escalates trouble tickets to ensure timely resolution.
Supports NNI provisioning and upgrade processes and works crossfunctionally with Sales Engineering and the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Assists with annual budgeting and provides monthly actual to budget analysis.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma is required for the role.
Four Year Degree is preferred for the role Relevant engineering technology business
management.
Experience Level:
2 years of Telecommunications experience is Required.
4 years of Project Management experience is Required.
2 years of Leadership supervisory or related experience is Preferred.
Other candidates with a strong technical background and substantial industry or military
experience will be considered.
Job Skills & Knowledge:
a. Advanced knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis
b. Strongly preferred PMP CAPM BICSI or similar certifications
c. Proactive Task Management
d. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
e. Demonstrated (advanced) problem solving skills
f. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
g. Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
i. Strongly preferred experience with Adobe Acrobat Sitetracker Smartsheet Microsoft Visio and/or Render
j. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
