As a key leader within Amazons Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team the AMER Portfolio Strategist role will oversee the creation and delivery of portfoliowide AMER transaction strategies down to the city building and org level. This role will lead the prioritization and presentation of strategic insights and recommendations to lease build move consolidate close etc. sites to GREF decision makers and senior Business leaders for alignment.
The Manager will be expected to align real estate strategy to business needs in partnership with key GREF Stakeholders; and use reporting and research trends to drive meaningful interactions with Business leaders that enable databased decisionmaking processes. They will use a customercentric approach by partnering with them to understand and influence space needs and requirements to inform supply and demand allocations. The role will be responsible for developing and presenting recommendations to acquire or dispose of sites by leveraging Amazons size and scale and translating business requirements into effective solutions aligned with the workplace strategy.
The optimal candidate is an experienced vibrant and engaging professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture providing vision leadership and communication not afraid to dive deep into details and take ownership. They should also understand the nuance of being approachable while at the same time consultative providing direction/recommendations and fostering transparent relationships. Key job responsibilities
Work crossfunctionally with a wide range of teams including Amazon Business Orgs Regional Portfolio Management Occupancy Planning Design and Construction IT Security Workplace and Facilities.
Lead the creation of citywide strategy plans for major metro areas; and develop portfolio plans that align to business goals growth projections customer needs and market trends.
Oversee supply and demand (current/forecast) requirements by city and design portfolio strategy scenarios to identify approaches that best align with business goals.
Identify opportunities and provide guidance to optimize space for all orgs within the existing portfolio and new acquisitions.
Effectively prioritize work efforts across vendor partner contingency.
Effectively manage crossfunctional engagement with the city internal stakeholders (SPMs D&C MAC RE&F) and customers to drive coordination of efforts.
Bachelors degree in Finance Project Management architecture interior design or another related field.
8 years professional experience demonstrating success in portfolio strategy leadership broad scale occupancy planning and move management projects.
6 years of experience in program or project management with an emphasis in delivering cross functional projects.
Proven experience in leading and managing teams with a focus on delivering highquality outcomes and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Strong ability to think strategically and develop longterm occupancy plans that align with business objectives and real estate strategies.
Expertise in analyzing complex data sets identifying trends and using data to inform strategic decisions and optimize space utilization.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels build strong relationships and manage expectations effectively.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of highquality outputs.
Indepth understanding of occupancy planning space management and corporate real estate with experience in managing large geographically diverse portfolios.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
