As the Centre Coordinator for Pathogen Genomics youll play a pivotal role in managing cuttingedge programs at the University of Melbournes Peter Doherty Institute. Youll have the opportunity to coordinate crosssectoral stakeholders drive strategic initiatives and support worldleading experts in pathogen genomics. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on infectious disease research and surveillance across the AsiaPacific region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management and Coordination: Oversee daytoday operations coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure progress towards strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication and collaboration with diverse partners locally and internationally.
  • Communications and Outreach: Implement the Centres communications and engagement plan manage digital platforms and develop content to showcase research impact.
  • Project Support: Perform secretariat responsibilities assist with reporting and contribute to the successful delivery of complex largescale projects.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a highly organised and effective communicator with experience in managing complex projects and engaging diverse stakeholders across academic research and public health sectors.

You may also:

  • Have strong project management skills and experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing and implementing strategic plans and workplans.
  • Have experience in website and social media management including content development.
  • Be adaptable and able to work collaboratively in a fastpaced multidisciplinary environment.
