Hospitalist Opportunity
Benefis Health Systemhas an opportunity for a boardcertified Internal Medicine physician to join the hospitalist group serving our academic community hospital in Great Falls Montana. In addition to patient care our mission is to provideeducation and supervision to internal medicine residents and medical students alike. Our robust system has a level II trauma designation and offers a wide variety of patients and pathology collaborative teams great specialty support competitive compensation and benefits and schedulingthat accommodates an adventurous Montana lifestyle!
Position Details
- Reasonable patient load with a targetstart of day census of 15 patients to allow for good medical practice and collaboration with colleagues
- 12 hr shifts 7 on / 7 off block schedule typically days WedTues working in a team of 7 physicians and 2nurse practitioners. A swing/admitter physician 11a9p) assists with afternoon admissions. Night coverage is provided by 1 physician and 1 APP from 7p7a.
- Cover only 1 hospital with 349 acute care beds admitting medical and surgical patients 16 years of age and older (adult) excluding obstetrical and providing medical coordination and inpatient utilization management for surgical patients
- Great access to specialists with over 380 providers on our medical staff representing 40 specialties including: Neurosurgery CVT Surgery Interventional and General Cardiology General Surgery Urology Neurology Nephrology Orthopedics Inpatient Gastroenterology Psychiatry and more!
- Epic EMR
- Procedures optional with privileging and no ICU coverage required (intensivists are in house 24/7 for consultation)
- Oversight of Internal MedicineResidents is expected with additional opportunity to teach medical students.
- Internal Medicine BE/BC required
