Location: Hillsdale NJ Onsite
Our client a wellstablished and growing manufacturing company is seeking a detailoriented and dependable Accountant.
Theidealcandidatewillhaveastrongunderstandingofgeneralaccountingprinciplesexperienceinamanufacturingenvironmentandtheabilitytoworkcollaborativelyacrossdepartmentsincludingoperationspurchasingandinventorymanagement.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Assistwithmonthendandyearendcloseprocessesincludingpreparationofjournalentriesreconciliationsandaccruals
- Maintaingeneralledgeraccountsandensureaccuracyoffinancialdata
- Prepareandanalyzefinancialstatementsincludingincomestatementsandbalancesheets
- Reconcileinventoryandcostofgoodssoldaccountsworkingcloselywithplantoperationsandsupplychainteams
- Supportfixedassettrackinganddepreciationschedules
- Assistinthedevelopmentofstandardcostsandcostvarianceanalysis
- Ensurecompliancewithinternalaccountingcontrolsandsupportexternalauditrequirements
- Generateadhocfinancialreportsandprovideinsighttosupportbusinessdecisions
- Collaboratewithaccountspayableandreceivableteamsasneededtoresolvediscrepanciesandmaintainaccuracy
- Supportbudgetingandforecastingprocessesbyprovidingrelevantfinancialdataandhistoricalinsights
Qualifications:
- BachelorsdegreeinAccountingFinanceorrelatedfieldrequired
- 25 years of accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- SolidunderstandingofUSGAAPandgeneralledgeraccounting
- Experiencewithinventoryaccountingandcostaccountingastrongplus
- ProficiencyinMicrosoftExcel;experiencewithERPsystems(.)preferred
- Strongattentiontodetailorganizationalskillsandabilitytomanagemultiplepriorities
- Effectivecommunicatorwithateamorientedmindset
