Are you inspired by solving complex supply chain challenges Do you have a passion for driving operational excellence through process improvements and automation We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to optimize production planning lead strategic initiatives and partner across the organization to delight our customers.
At the core of the Senior Production Planner role is driving endtoend planning excellence through the strategic implementation of advanced supply chain planning technology and optimized workflows. This leader serves as a subject matter expert guiding the technical transition from legacy systems to a modern integrated planning platform. They will oversee the of critical planning processes including master production scheduling material requirements planning capacity planning and inventory optimization. The Senior Production Planner partners crossfunctionally to streamline planning processes eliminate manual tasks and enhance planning capabilities to improve customer service reduce costs and optimize working capital. They will leverage data analytics and automation to generate more realistic and achievable plans that align with the companys strategic objectives.
Key job responsibilities
* Develop the master production schedule aligned with sales forecasts and business objectives
* Utilize demand plans inventory lead times and production capacity to create a feasible master schedule
* Collaborate with manufacturing procurement logistics to ensure feasible and executable supply plans
* Collaborate with sales operations finance to iteratively refine the MPS based on changes
* Assess the organizations production capacity and resources (labor equipment facilities)
* Perform capacity analysis to identify potential bottlenecks and constraints
* Use RCCP to validate master schedule against capacity flag issues and make adjustments
* Develop whatif scenarios to evaluate impact of changes on production capacity
* Work with manufacturing to implement capacityleveling and smooth production workloads
* Identify and resolve supplydemand gaps through scenario planning and supply parameter adjustments
* Communicate supplyrelated risks constraints and mitigation plans to stakeholders
* Leverage planning systems data and analytics to generate optimized supply plans
* Monitor supply plan performance against KPIs like schedule adherence inventory turns supplier delivery
* Identify opportunities to improve supply planning processes tools and data quality
* Work crossfunctionally to drive alignment and communicate changes
* Participate in new product introduction projects to incorporate supply planning requirements
Bachelors degree in supply chain management industrial engineering operations or a related technical field
6 years of experience in production planning supply chain or a related field
Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes
Excellent problemsolving and process improvement skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence crossfunctional teams
Demonstrated experience leading complex crossfunctional projects
Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies
Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights (Tableau Power BI)
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space (e.g. IoT machine learning)
Masters degree in supply chain management industrial engineering or a related technical discipline
