The Opportunity:
Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination research studies provide patient and family education scheduling triage assist with procedures and collaborate with a multidisciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fastpaced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.
The Shift:
HOURS: Monday Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
May be asked to float to other locations: Overland Park Liberty Lees Summit
The Work:
- Phone Triage
- Schedules emergentneed appointments.
- Patient followup calls.
- Patient education on particular procedures and processes.
- Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
- Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
- Care for patients with a longterm treatment process.
- Collaborate on a care team and provide facetoface patient care
- Maintain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
