The Office of Human Resources Training & Development (OHRTD) supports a positive learning environment for our students by recruiting and maintaining a diverse dynamic and interdependent workforce. The incumbent in this position will be providing administrative support to human resources training and development services; providing information to applicants employees and the public; performing a segment of the technical/clerical functions of the office as assigned; providing requested information regarding department procedures and functions; and maintaining records.
This job reports to the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President Human Resources Training & Development.

Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
SKILLSare required to perform single technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying pertinent codes rules and regulations; operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records; planning and managing projects; following oral directions; communicating in order to synthesize and solve problems; exercising excellent customer service; and organizing a variety of meetings and conferences.
KNOWLEDGEis required to perform basic math including calculations using fractions percents and/or ratios; read technical information compose a variety of documents and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: computer skills; spelling grammar and punctuation; record keeping principles applicable to employment practices; modern office practices procedures and computer hardware and software; and human resources codes laws rules regulations and policies.
ABILITYis required to schedule a number of activities meetings and/or events; often gather collate and/or classify data; and use basic jobrelated equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize jobrelated equipment. Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Responsibility:
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; leading guiding and/or coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the jobs functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organizations services.
Work Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 90 sitting 5 walking and 5 standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

Job related experience is required.
Education:
Community college and/or vocational school degree from an accredited institution with study in jobrelated area.
