Whats the job
The Senior Research Fellow (SRF) is responsible for conducting high quality research within and across three interdisciplinary research focus areas including health for all education for all and housing for all and aligning to Torrens ERA. This is a senior research position within the University reporting to the director of the research Centre for Healthy Sustainable Development. The SRF will be part of an interdisciplinary research team and shall support the Centre Director in achieving the Centre goals. As part of the Research and Innovation Office and reporting through to the DVC Research this position supports the implementation of the Torrens University research strategy. The position requires working towards building a positive research culture through collaboration with other researchers in a range of research team(s) and/or contributing to capacity building across the University in aligned areas and/or emerging research areas; and at times may work closely with a range of faculty staff and other Research Centres.
Daytoday accountabilities:
Support the Centre Director in implementing a comprehensive Centre research strategy
Independently contribute to ethical high quality and innovative research and evaluation through activities such as publishing in recognised highquality journals and leading the preparation and submission of bids for external research funding
Supervision of post graduate research and HDR projects
Lead supervise and participate in high performing interdisciplinary research teams and contribute to the development of a respectful trusting and collaborative working environment.
Work with administrative staff across the university to ensure all administrative aspects of the research process are effectively managed.

Who you are
Completion of a PhD in a discipline related to public health with an emphasis on interdisciplinary research and innovative methods
Experience of undertaking research in one of the following areas: public health health promotion intergenerational practice education or housing as a determinant of health
Demonstrated research experience in terms of publications in high quality journals attraction of external competitive grants and presentations at a national and/or international level
Demonstrated HDR supervisory experience
Demonstrated welldeveloped interpersonal skills and experience in collaborating and engaging with diverse stakeholders and industry partners
Demonstrated experience to undertake collaborative research and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and industry
