Product Developer - Licensed

Overview

The Product Developer will be responsible for the development of new footwear designs as well as other projects involving colors and graphics on carryover product. Starting from the initial ideation phase through manufacturing. The position will work with and support the Product Creation Team to develop a wide range of Inline products calendar and process improvement and achieve product objectives around aesthetic quality and cost within the necessary timeline.

What Youll Do

• Work with a global crossfunctional product creation team from design and development milestones through commercialization to build products that go above and beyond.
• Ability to analyze design packs and prepare for factory deliverables.
• Maintain Product Bill of Materials (BOM) and communicate costing for products in development.
• Identify potential manufacturing efficiency and costing concerns during the product development cycle and cost targets.
• Own the sample process including submitting clear sample request summarize product teardowns within the team and document and communicate any revisions accordingly.
• Communicate opportunities to product teams for improved construction materials and components to improve functionality aesthetics duty and fit.
• Initiate meetings with product teams during various phases of development to review evaluate update and ultimately drive the decisionmaking process that leads to ontime production confirmation and goals.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and provide guidance to team through explanation of facts and policies.
• Ability to speak to and predict margin and duty classification.
• Assist on production quality issues when vital.
• A strong foundation of supplier capabilities factory relations quality issues material pricing and lead times.
• Understands and maintains standards for design quality and development process.
• Successfully able to navigate and prioritize deliverables in a fastpaced working environment.
• Ability to pivot with the rapidly changing needs of the business.
• Responsible for the physical management and storage of prototypes and samples.
• Proactively maintain clear team communication regarding the product development status.
• Understand and drive timelines with our crossfunctional departments manufacturing partners and material supply chain.

What Youll Bring to the Table

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Industrial Design Marketing Business or a related field is required.
• Two 2 years of experience in product creation or similar role is required. Education beyond requirements in a related field may substitute for professional experience requirement on a year for year basis.
• Expanded conceptual understanding of the product development and manufacturing process.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to help establish or improve process.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
• Be a problem solver who can work independently and deal with ambiguity using experience and precedent.
• Able to develop situational responses for unique process exceptions.
• Detail oriented selfmotivated with strong decisionmaking capabilities.
• Effective collaborator adept at working efficiently within a team and crossfunctionally.
