Job Description

Overview:

The Director of Career Innovation & Experiential Learning will lead a cuttingedge futurefocused approach to career readiness for students and alumni in the School of Health Sciences (SHS) at Quinnipiac University. This leader will reimagine career education by integrating emerging industry trends digital tools and experiential learning into a dynamic career ecosystem that prepares students for nextgeneration careers in the health industry.

With a deep understanding of the evolving health industry landscape this role will bridge academia and industry leveraging AI digital health and new workforce models to provide a customized datadriven and globally relevant career development experience. In partnership with the iQ central office the Director will build strategic partnerships with community health partners healthcare organizations research institutions and techdriven health companies while supporting the integration of career and leadership development into the curriculum.

About Quinnipiac:Quinnipiac University is a private coeducational institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston.   • Visionary Leadership & Strategy
    • Develop and implement a nextgeneration career innovation model that integrates digital transformation career coaching and personalized learning pathways.
    • Combine labor market insight data and predictive analytics to proactively support student career trajectories.
    • Collaborate with faculty and leadership to embed career development into the academic experience ensuring all students engage in realworld competencybased learning experiences.
    • Shape the schools reputation as a hub for health sciences career excellence through thought leadership public speaking and industry engagement.
    • Manage resources strategically ensuring sustainability and scalability of innovative career initiatives.
  • Innovative Career Development & Student Experience
    • Build a customized career experience using career mapping virtual mentorship programs and immersive simulations that reflect realworld challenges.
    • Establish highimpact experiential learning opportunities such as virtual internships global health projects and industrysponsored hackathons.
    • Lead initiatives that prepare students for the digital health economy including telemedicine health informatics and biotech entrepreneurship.
    • Expand leadership and professional development programming ensuring students cultivate essential skills in interdisciplinary teamwork adaptability and ethical innovation.
  • Industry & Employer Partnerships
    • Develop transformative partnerships with healthcare organizations community health partners digital health startups and public health agencies to expand career pathways beyond traditional roles.
    • Design futureforward employer engagement strategies including jobmatching industry microcredentials and realtime labor market insights.
    • Engage with the SHS Executive Leadership Council to ensure career services remain responsive to workforce needs and emerging health sector trends.
  • Equity Access & Lifelong Career Success
    • Implement inclusive career development strategies to ensure all studentsregardless of backgroundhave equal access to highimpact career opportunities.
    • Expand lifelong career support for alumni through a global professional network executive coaching programs and digital career toolkits.
    • Use humancentered design to create career services that are agile accessible and responsive to student needs.
    • Track and report on graduate employment outcomes to meet accreditation standards and inform institutional planning.
  • Universitywide career development
    • Actively participate in university strategic initiatives around career development and experiential learning at the university level.
    • Implement recommendations and guidelines from strategic initiatives in partnership with the university central office of career and experiential learning.
    • Actively engaged in cross schools/departments collaboration geared toward achieving the university career development bold goals.
    • Work with the Director of Employer Relations to increase and strengthen SHS and university employers portfolio.
    • Participate in university wide activities including the university career fair the alumni career day during Bobcat weekend and others.
    • Strengthen/Increase alumni and faculty engagement around career education and experiential learning.
Education Requirements:
  • Masters degree in higher education career development public health health sciences business or a related field required
Qualifications:
  • 7 years of progressive leadership experience in career development workforce innovation or employer engagement preferably within health sciences healthcare or techdriven industries.
  • Proven track record of leading transformative initiatives that connect education with workforce needs in a rapidly evolving health landscape.
  • Deep understanding of labor market trends emerging career pathways and the future of work in health sciences and healthcare.
  • Visionary thought leader with a futuristic mindset and the ability to anticipate workforce trends.
  • Expertise in digital career platforms AIdriven job matching and career analytics.
  • Strong industry network and ability to forge highimpact employer partnerships.
  • Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion in career access and professional growth.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
