POSITION TITLE: ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR FOR PARALEGAL STUDIESPOSITION SUMMARY
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum providing instruction and performing student learning assessment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Courses at Joliet Junior College may be offered in various delivery modes including but not limited to facetoface online and hybrid. Designing syllabi lessons activities assignments and assessments to meet the established course description as well as program course and college learning outcomes and/or objectives while addressing each students needs as diverse learners.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the classroom by developing and using effective teaching strategies that meet students diverse needs and engage the student in critical thinking and problemsolving.
an effective learning environment that fosters students intellectual curiosity and helps students to problem solve using disciplinespecific thinking strategies.
a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and the attainment of the student learning outcomes for the course.
students reach their academic personal and career goals and foster a safe environment that respects the diversity of people and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence in every students ability to learn.
syllabi lessons activities assignments and assessments to meet the established course description as well as program course and college learning outcomes and/or objectives while addressing each students needs as diverse learners.
all college deadlines for submission of attendance grades and data collection for assessment of student learning.
professionalism with excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
with all legal and ethical obligations including FERPA ADA and other regulatory legislations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
of Science in Jurisprudence or Master of Science in Law (MSL).
experience.
in MS Office (Word Excel Visio PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
oral written and interpersonal communication skills detailoriented with the ability to proofread and type accurately.
customer service skills with the ability to effectively work with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctor (JD).
2 years teaching experience preferably at the higher education level.
