This position will be primarily based in the Greater Houston TX area.
As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent you will work at a variety of labs so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills creativity and cando attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highestlevels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Performs maintenance and repair services.
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers business.
Delivers (does not design) fully integrated solutions which may include peripherals communications operating systems and applications software.
Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations. Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support Sales Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.
Overnight travel required average of two or less nights per week
MUST live in the Houston TX area.
Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites.
Requirements may include but are not limited to proof of identification proof of certification to perform the work required customer health and safety requirements etc.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree within the science field e.g. chemistry analytical chemistry biochemistry biotechnology or similar or relevant work experience.
2 years experience with LC LCMS LCQTOF in a similar role or experience as an end user working with these instruments.
Experience with troubleshooting and problemsolving.
Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.
Verbal and written communication is clear respectful and timely.
Ability to travel overnight average of two nights or less per week.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least April 23 2025 or until the job is no longer posted. In the US this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The fulltime equivalent pay range for this position is $33.23 $51.92/hr plus eligibility for bonus stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training.
