What We Are Looking For:
An Environmental Compliance Specialist who is highly motivated to join our team of professionals and support our clients locally regionally and nationally. EnSafes environmental compliance professionals are involved in evaluating the compliance status of industrial facilities assisting them in applying for and complying with various environmental permits and helping facilities identify and comply with other environmental obligations. EnSafe is committed to providing pragmatic costeffective strategies for maintaining compliance minimizing liabilities and improving environmental performance.
What you will be doing:
The successful candidate should have a proven ability to navigate local state and federal regulations and prepare labor/material estimates and proposals.
Areas of business include:
- Developing and/or revising various U.S. EPA and/or staterequired regulatory written programs (e.g. SPCC Plans stormwater management plans groundwater protection plans waste minimization plans).
- Completing annual Emergency Planning Community RighttoKnow Act reports (e.g. Tier 2 Form R).
- Documenting and reporting air emissions.
- Performing environmental regulatory research.
- Completing environmental permit applications for various media such as wastewater stormwater and air emissions.
- Performing environmental sample collection monitoring and reporting (e.g. hazardous waste characterization stormwater sampling wastewater sampling).
What you will need:
- BS or BA in Geology Engineering Biology Chemistry or Equivalent Sciences.
- At least four 4 years of professionallevel experience is desired; prior experience in environmental consulting is preferred.
- Effective written/verbal communication presentation and organization/analytical skills; experience writing detailed technical reports and plans.
- Strong organizational and time management skills while working on multiple client projects; candidates must be detailoriented assertive and exhibit good listening and notetaking skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs particularly Microsoft Excel functions and formulas.
- Regular travel to client locations (local and regional) with occasional national travel possible; approximately 25 overnight travel generally not longer than 12 nights.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work independently with little to no oversight in select circumstances.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including rain and heat.
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs and work at higher elevations such as building rooftops and tank farms.
- Valid Drivers license required.
- Commitment to upholding EnSafe standards of quality and safety.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and diversified environment.
- Ability to pass a background check.
