Fugro is looking for a Field Project Supervisor to manage all aspects of field operations for large scale field survey services as assigned in support of landbased remote sensing mapping and aerial surveying.
The opportunity would interact with Fugros project management team leadership and client relations. You would manage daily operation of field crews in completion of various survey projects throughout the United States.
This opportunity will not provide relocation assistance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and place Quality Health & Safety Security and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees our processes customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
- Manage daily operations of field crews including subcontract crews in completion of various survey projects
- Coordinate daily project requirements from Project Managers and clients
- Review the field collected survey data on a daily basis to ensure project requirements are met
- Research survey control and geodetic requirements for projects
- Process GPS data for control surveys
- Maintain knowledge of the FLIMAP processing software
- Support FLIMAP data collection (i.e. base station support) as necessary
- Advise client on all aspects of the survey component of the project
- Provide written daily progress reports and project reports detailing project specifics
- Coordinate all administrative and logistical issues with Field Operations Manager
Job Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Possess or can obtain a valid passport and hold a valid drivers license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in GIS LiDAR Remote Sensing or similar degree plan is highly preferred.
- Possess at minimum 5 years of experience in surveying or aerial data acquisition is preferred.
- Proficient in GPS processing and data evaluation utilizing specialized software; experience with Applianix POSPac NovAtel POSGNSS or Trimble Business Center a plus
- Experience with MS Office (i.e. Outlook Word Excel); familiarity with CAD software
- Must have excellent and effective oral and written communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be capable of working in an organized fashion under pressure
- Must be able to work independently without supervision
