MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center is looking for a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to fill their need!Percent of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 103 Admitted inpatients per year and 140 placed in observation Percent of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: Varies based on the type of patients presenting to the ERPercent of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 173 patients transferred last fiscal yearTrauma Level: Level IVTotal Number of Beds: Licensed for 18 inpatient beds staffed for 11Annual ER Volume: 2773 last fiscal yearEMR: Cerner Community Works now switching to EPIC end of May 2025ED Staff Respond to House Codes: Yes House Codes Secondary to ED EmergenciesAdmission Orders will be written by ED Physician our ED Physician is the HospitalistHospital Bylaws Required Specific Response Time for On Call Physicians: 30 minutesEmergency Deliveries we do not have a Labor & Delivery in houseED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio: Yes24 Hour Availability for Radiology (CT MRI XRay): YES24 Hour Availability for Laboratory: YesBlood Bank: Do not have Blood Bank per sePathology: By Appointment Clinical Anatomical24 Hour Availability for the OR and Anesthesia: NoSurgical Services: Only Scheduled SurgeriesDescription of Consultants: Radiologist Cardiologist Neurologist PsychiatristEKG Interpretations are read by ED provider the Cardiologist overreadsEstimated Credentialing: Temporary week; Initial 1 month
