RN Ambulatory Urology

Cleveland Clinic Floridas Department of Urology is a leader in the treatment of urologic and kidney disorders. Many of the latest urologic minimally invasive procedures such as robotic prostatectomy and prosthetic surgery were pioneered by Cleveland Clinic urologists.

A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM 5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Perform telephone triage.
  • Notify physicians/LIPs of abnormal findings.
  • Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient family and health care team.
  • Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP and monitor patients for response.
  • Participate in quality initiatives process improvements and research activities to improve patient outcomes patient experience and patient safety.
  • Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identify annual core competencies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
  • Will consider LPN Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area
