The Lower School Academy at Lawrence High School serves students who are making the transition from a variety of public and private middle schools in the City of Lawrence. We recognize the importance of the early high school years as a launching point to a school career where students are supported in reaching their highest academic and extracurricular High Schools Lower School is seeking exceptional teachers to join our 9th and 10th grade teams who possess a growth mindset value collaboration and continuous feedback are passionate about their content and have an unwavering belief that all students are capable of meeting rigorous academic expectations. Core Duties and Responsibilities:Teach 5 sections of History Work collaboratively to align curriculum to the rigor of the MA Curriculum FrameworksImplement common assessments that measure progress towards academic standardsUse data from formative and summative assessments to inform instructionMeet weekly with a gradelevel content team and an interdisciplinary cohortCollaborate with Special Education and ESL teachers to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students Participate in biweekly instructional coaching sessions to improve instructional practices. Act as advisor to a group of 815 students. Communicate weekly with students and families around academic and behavioral progress.
