JOB TITLE: Professional Software Engineer

Professional Software Engineer needed by AT&T Services Inc. in Dallas Texas and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home to perform all steps included in the overall delivery process of a software application or service. Design develop test deploying and maintain with a focus on automation. Gather and review software requirements and user stories and provide estimates. Create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through the application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Validate test environments test data and test results. Design and implement code fixes validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. Perform unit testing dynamic application security testing interface testing integration testing endtoend testing and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Support the software deployment process.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in a related occupation performing all steps included in the overall delivery process of a software application or service; designing developing testing deploying and maintaining with a focus on automation; creating software design specifications and collaborating with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions; creating and executing automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements; validating test environments test data and test results; designing and implementing code fixes validating outcomes against expected results and producing associated reporting; and supporting applications and solving configuration and environment issues.

Alternatively the employer will accept a Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation performing all steps included in the overall delivery process of a software application or service; designing developing testing deploying and maintaining with a focus on automation; creating software design specifications and collaborating with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions; creating and executing automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements; validating test environments test data and test results; designing and implementing code fixes validating outcomes against expected results and producing associated reporting; and supporting applications and solving configuration and environment issues.
