Job Description

Summary:

The ASCD Support Worker applies principles of familycentered practice and inclusion in providing onetoone or small group supports to children with developmental delays or disabilities.


Qualifications & Experience:

Basic early childhood education training special needs post basic early childhood training.

Work experience in child care or other community settings and/or recent experience working with children with extra support needs

Knowledge and understanding of Sttimc culture.

Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates the ability to use a culturally sensitive and safe framework when working with Aboriginal children families and communities.

Demonstrates the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other service providers.

Responsible for records file maintenance and reporting.

Must be willing to submit to and clear a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
