Job Description

Overview:

  • Provide support and facilitation in curriculum design across STEM programs ensuring alignment with RMITs strategic priorities and pedagogical best practices

  • Drive futurefocused education initiatives including stackable learning interdisciplinary design and industryconnected learning experiences

  • Full time fixed term 9 months) position at HEW Level 8

About the Role

As a Senior Curriculum Specialist you will drive the design and development of cuttingedge academic programs that align with RMITs strategic priorities and futurefocused learning models. Working closely with academic staff and program teams youll contribute to and facilitate curriculum development initiatives that are industryrelevant studentcentred and pedagogically sound.

Youll also contribute to the development of the STEM Program Curriculum Design Framework and provide expert guidance across a range of curriculum activitiesfrom course and assessment design to accreditation support and curriculum innovation.

What Youll Do

  • Facilitate collaborative curriculum design processes for new and existing programs majors and minors.

  • Provide expert advice on learning outcomes assessment mapping and best practices in higher education pedagogy

  • Support the development of highquality curriculum documentation and program accreditation submissions

  • Contribute to the creation of tools templates and resources that build staff capability in curriculum design

  • Lead workshops drive continuous improvement and contribute to strategic curriculum planning across the College

What Were Looking For

  • Extensive experience in curriculum design within higher education

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proven ability to collaborate with diverse academic teams industry partners and students

  • Demonstrated capability in producing highlevel reports data analysis and supporting strategic decisionmaking

  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills

  • A sound understanding of contemporary curriculum design trends including interdisciplinary learning workintegrated learning and stackable qualifications.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with RMITs Curriculum Architecture and Knowledge with Action Strategy.

  • Experience designing stackable learning pathways and microcredentials.

Qualifications

A degree with appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children Check and other checks as required by the specific role. Maintaining a valid Working With Children Check is a condition of employment at RMIT.
