Description
Job Purpose:
The Seasonal Facilities Maintenance role at J & M Plating Inc. is crucial for ensuring the cleanliness and general upkeep of our manufacturing facility. The position requires a candidate who is detailoriented proactive and capable of working independently to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping dusting and trash removal to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Assist with minor repairs including fixing leaks replacing bulbs and repairing fixtures as part of preventive maintenance efforts.
- Store and maintain cleaning supplies ensuring they are readily available and organized.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment as needed to support operational needs.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience:
- Experience in performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping dusting and trash removal
- Experience in assisting with minor repairs including fixing leaks replacing bulbs and repairing fixtures
- Experience in preventive maintenance and general upkeep of facilities
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing setting
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to store and maintain cleaning supplies effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and report safety hazards promptly
- Capable of assisting with moving furniture and equipment as needed
- Excellent ability to identify and address maintenance issues efficiently
