Job OverviewThe Sr Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) tackles a variety of technical challenges. They play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and building test systems in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. They are a core member of the development team and participate in the complete development lifecycle process. They develop implement and sustain test automation processes practices and controls in support of application and system requirements development and test activities throughout the software development and sustainment lifecycles. They lead and consult on test automation strategy requirement design implementation and . The Sr SDET resources create high quality maintainable and performant code for automated test cases and the frameworks to execute and report them.
In addition to this a Sr SDET is a practice leader both in practice and coaching across all of the disciplines with influence and contributions across teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Testing (Technical)
Design and implement robust testing strategies for Generative AI solutions
Test functionality performance accuracy and production sampling
Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers.
Develop and maintain automated test suites for AI/ML pipelines and APIs
Validate AI generative solutions for bias fairness and ethical compliance
Practice Leadership Modeling and Coaching: 20
Provides internal training on relevant skills and tools that support Continuous Testing.
Contributes to Test Community of Practice to evolve testing practices quality standards and tools.
Leads defect management.
Interfaces with external teams on test strategy and ensures alignment to test .
Influences and drives quality across teams disciplines and the organization.
Grows and maintains technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training.
Testing (Requirements Gathering)
Ensures requirements and/or user stories are testable.
Clarifies any ambiguity with requirements user stories design and other artifacts produced as part of the product lifecycle.
Provides estimates for user stories and tasks.
Directs testability of requirements and/or user stories.
Leads and provides input to all test activities.
Testing QA
Closely coordinates with both Dev and Ops regarding testing practices and ensuring quality thresholds are met
Contributes in Design and Design reviews.
Contributes in code review.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering Computer Science or a related field or the foreign equivalent and 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate relevant work experience. (Required)
Masters/Advanced Degree in Software Engineering Computer Science or a related field or the foreign equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience. (Preferred)
Work Experience:
47 years Professional experience using 3 or more development languages (e.g. C# Java JavaScript etc.. (Required)
47 years Professional experience using 3 or more automation tools (e.g. Selenium TestNG Appium Sauce Labs Rest Assured Postman Cucumber Jasmine Protractor etc.. (Required)
47 years Professional experience with various testing methodologies and strategies: Test Driven Development Behavior Driven Development etc. (Required)
47 years Professional experience using CA Service Virtualization or equivalent. (Required)
47 years Professional experience using issuetracking software and agile project management systems. (Required)
47 years Professional experience designing and developing applications on Unix or Windows environment mobile platforms (Android or iOS) or designing complex multitiered applications. (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as an SDET Engineer with a focus on AI and data testing
Familiarity with tools like Postman SoapUI or API platformspecific SDKs is vital for interacting with APIs and automating tests
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java or C#.
Proficiency in testing methodologies and test automation tools like Selenium Apache JMeter and JUnit.
Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts including model evaluation and validation techniques.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Base Pay Range: $89400 $161300Corporate Bonus Target: 15
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
