Job Description

You will be contacted directly by the facility after applying to this Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking an Associate Pathologist to be based at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient Candidates:AP/CP certification or board eligibilityComfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practiceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsActive Florida Medical License or eligible to obtainPathology Volume/Cases:Surgical volumes approximately 4000 per yearNongyn cytology 1000 per yearProcedures (frozen sections and rapid on site assessments) less than 10 per weekPeripheral smears approximately 5 per weekBlood bank reviews less than 1 per weekFawcett has approximately 250 beds with a variety of anatomic pathology specimens including breast colorectal thoracic urologic and bone marrow practice consists of two pathologists who also remotely cover the surgical and cytology volumes at HCA Florida Englewood hospital 100 beds with approximately 1400 surgical specimens and 100 nongyn cytology specimens per year). No gyn cytology or autopsy of the laboratories within the Free Standing Emergency Departments associated with the two hospitalsIncentive/Benefits Package:Competitive compensation package including annual profitsharing bonusExcellent benefits package including CME allowance health and 401kRelocation assistance providedMalpractice insurance provided
